
In my previous post, I shared how I slowly began to understand Reiki—not through theory, but through experience.
I didn’t start with strong belief.
I started with curiosity… and a little hesitation.
But once I began practicing Reiki regularly after learning Level 1, something interesting started to happen.
Not dramatic changes.
Not overnight miracles.
But small, consistent shifts that I couldn’t ignore.
The Subtle Changes Began
In the beginning, I didn’t know what to expect.
I simply followed what I had learned—placing my hands, sitting quietly, and giving myself that time every day.
At first, it just felt like a pause in my day.
But slowly, that pause started turning into something more.
1. My Body Started Responding
One of the first changes I noticed was in my physical well-being.
I had been dealing with recurring headaches for years. They were something I had almost accepted as “normal.” But with regular Reiki practice, I saw a gradual shift.
The frequency reduced.
What used to happen often became occasional… and over time, almost negligible.
I also felt more comfortable in my body overall. Movements felt easier, and I could stay active for longer without feeling strained.
It wasn’t sudden.
But it was steady.
2. I Became More Aware of My Energy
In my earlier post, I mentioned the warmth and tingling I felt in my hands.
With time, that awareness deepened.
I began to notice how my body responded in different situations—when I was stressed, calm, tired, or overwhelmed.
It felt like I was becoming more connected to myself… in a way I hadn’t been before.
3. My Reactions Started Changing
This was one of the most unexpected shifts.
Situations that would normally trigger stress or overthinking didn’t affect me the same way anymore.
I found myself pausing more.
Responding instead of reacting.
Handling things with a little more clarity and calm.
It wasn’t that life became stress-free— but I felt better equipped to deal with it.
4. My Sleep Improved
Another noticeable change was in my sleep.
I started falling asleep more easily and waking up feeling more rested.
There were fewer interruptions during the night, and overall, I felt more refreshed in the mornings.
It was a simple change—but it made a big difference to my day.
5. A Sense of Calm in Difficult Moments
Perhaps the most meaningful shift was internal.
There was a quiet sense of calm that started building over time.
Even in situations that would have earlier felt overwhelming, I noticed I could stay more grounded.
Not perfectly calm all the time—but definitely more balanced than before.
Looking Back
When I think about it now, Reiki Level 1 didn’t change my life in a dramatic, overnight way.
It changed it quietly.
Through small shifts.
Through consistency.
Through awareness.
It helped me understand what I had mentioned earlier—That healing doesn’t always look big or visible.
Sometimes, it feels like:
- Sleeping better
- Reacting less
- Feeling lighter
- Being more at ease with yourself
Final Thought
If my earlier understanding of Reiki was about slowing down and listening, then this phase was about experiencing what happens when you actually do it.
And what happens is simple:
Your body responds.
Your mind settles.
And slowly, things begin to shift.
Not loudly.
But deeply.
